Directions from the AMC to 9-Mile Light Rail Station

Leave the campus going south on Ursula. Cross Colfax at the light and proceed south on Ursula to 13th Place. Take a right on 13th Place and take a left on Jewell Park (this is the first street where you can take a left-may not be marked). Take a quick right onto 13th Avenue and then a quick left on Quentin. Proceed south on Quentin to 11th Ave. Take a right (west) on 11th Ave and proceed to the light at Peoria.

Continue west on 11th Ave. to Moline. You'll pass Aurora Central High School, and traffic may be heavy in this area during the school year. Take a left on Moline and proceed south to E. 2nd Avenue. You will have a light to cross 6th Avenue, but you'll have to press the ped button or wait for a car to activate the signal.

Take a right at 2nd Avenue and take the next left (Lima). Go one block south on Lima and take another left on 1st Avenue. Go east on 1st Avenue and go right at the turn signal and you'll be back on Moline going south.

Proceed south on Moline/Lima all the way to Wesley (Moline turns into Lima between Mississippi and Jewell). Take a left on Wesley (east) and follow the street around the curve and continue south on Nome. Take a left on Harvard for one block and take a right on Oakland. You'll cross Yale to South Nome and take a left on Yale Way once you cross the intersection.

At this point, you could take a left (east) at Amherst and cross Peoria at the light. Peoria is too busy to ride on comfortably, so you'd have to ride the sidewalk south to Parker Road and the light rail station.

Or, continue on Paris and Oakland-Paris turns into Oakland as you follow the curve going south. There's a footpath at the elementary school (Polton)-follow it south from the Bates/Oakland intersection. There is no curb cut here and the trail is very narrow, so pay attention or you'll miss it! You can take a left on Cornell (east) and cross Peoria at Cornell (there's a light here) and follow the trail/sidewalk into the station.

The other option here is to cross Cornell going south from the footpath and cut across the parking lot of the business that is to the south of Cornell. This will take you to Dartmouth St. Take a left at Dartmouth and proceed east to Peoria where you can cross at the signal. Take the sidewalk to the light rail station. This last option minimizes sidewalk riding so is probably the best route.
